Delayed Update

So first of all, I've been having issues with the Blogger bar on the top of my page. It keeps randomly disappearing. No idea if it's a problem with Blogger or my browser, but since it happens in both Internet Explorer and Firefox, I'm thinking it might be Blogger. Whatever is causing it, it makes it impossible to log in to make a new post, which is why it's been so long since my last one. Sorry!

On to the good news, my little leveling slump seems to be over for now.
I achievement spammed myself >.<

Jorren and Windstar have both joined my growing crew of level 90s. My slight dislike of Townlong Steppes and Dread Waste seems to be going away, too, so it shouldn't be too long (I hope) before Rynia joins them, and gives me my 5 max-level classes achievement. Further proving that I really do have no life. XD

Windstar hasn't been doing much since she dinged, other than a few days of Tiller dailies, although Kel has made her the epic chest piece and she only needs two more spirits of harmony until she can make her epic inscription staff. I'm thinking of taking her back into Dread Wastes and actually finishing the major quest lines out there, since I haven't done that on anyone yet and questing with her is pretty fun, now that she's starting to kill the mobs faster and taking less damage. Although she still seems really squishy against most rare spawns she's found. I do plan on gearing her up in heroics and doing some raid finder runs with her, but right now Jorren has been taking up most of my attention.

Death knights have become incredibly fun to play, at least for me. Jorren was able to find the 2-handed crafted axe at a fairly good deal in the AH, and he's been tearing things up during his dailies. I've been focusing mostly on Tillers and Cloud Serpents, just to get them finished and out of the way, but he's started on Golden Lotus as well. I haven't run heroics much, but I blame that mostly on the holidays keeping me busy at work, and making me less willing to take chances on LFD groups. After spending a stressful day at work around crowds of strangers being jerks and idiots, I just want to relax by myself once I'm home and in-game. Hopefully my upcoming vacation time will help that, before the Christmas rush starts. :\

I've been plugging along on my little monk, too. Sunre is currently 38, thanks to a bunch of dungeon runs with sis dual-boxing with Pitchblack and her little shaman, Laoden. We're taking a break from that to get some questing done, since we're at the level range of several zones we both like. He's been lots of fun, and I might possibly take a break from my higher-level toons and get him up to Pandaria after Ryn is done. Seeing so many other people having fun on their monks is making me very eager for that, and I'm looking forward to getting him into a bit of RP eventually.

And I think that's all the interesting stuff for now. Hopefully it won't take so long for my next post. /Waves

And another...

I've been a busy leveler lately, it seems.

I may make myself stop leveling for a bit, to try to get my current maxed characters some gear. *Eyes Rajji* Uh, maybe...

Speaking of gear, a random blue trinket dropped for Kel when she was doing Tol Barad dailies, which she passed along to Windstar. It got her gear ilevel up enough so she can finally run heroics. The only problem is, she really hasn't been doing very well, even in normal dungeons.

It's kind of odd, comparing my two 'main' druids. Windstar actually didn't get much questing, after she finished Hyjal. Most of her xp came from farming herbs, for both her own inscription and my warlock's alchemy. (Both of which are maxed, even though my 'lock is still only level 82. /flex) She did do quests, but I hopped around the zones a lot, so she hasn't gotten many of the good rewards from the finishing quest lines. That trinket actually replaced a ilevel 272 quest reward from Hyjal. :\

Bearkat, on the other hand, has finished Hyjal and the main quest chain (the World Pillar) in Deepholm. He's also run more instances than Star. It's been easier to make myself quest on him, mostly because of all the unneeded rewards that he gets to disenchant. (Much more reliable supply of mats than getting random green drops from grinding or instances.) Also, I've noticed something that honestly confuses me a little. Everything just seems easier on Bear. He rips through quests and mobs that Star struggles with. Some of it might be that his gear is a little better, not to mention that he keeps all of his gear enchanted. But still, the difference is a little boggling. Poor Star struggles with dps in instances, seems to take longer to kill mobs, and dies at least once every time I do her Tol Barad dailies. Now, I haven't taken Bear to Tol Barad yet, but I'm not expecting any trouble for him when I do. He was also doing higher dps in instances at 82-83 than Star does at 85. I just can't figure it out. /scratch head

Well, at least part of the problem will be taken care of (hopefully) soon. Kel has been trying to collect the chaos orbs to make Star the epic leatherworking pieces. The only problem is the RNG hates me, but I figure if I run enough heroics, my luck has got to work out eventually. Of course, then other only problem is, that means I have to play Kel, when I really want to be doing things on my other characters. Thus, it has been going very slowly. So far, Kel has one orb, out of the 5 or 6 (can't remember >.<) that she needs for both belt and chestpiece. Argh.

Anyways, enough with the rambling/ranting. Time to do Bear's dailies, and maybe get a random dungeon or two. And wait for my latest attempt to download the PTR to finish. Hopefully it won't constantly crash this time.

Congratulations, Draxuul-Arthas

Welcome, Draxuul of Arthas, to my new Jerk of the Month Club. You get the dubious honor of being the first member that was truly awful enough for me to want to share your complete lack of regard for anyone but yourself.

So I was on my shaman Taarren, trying to get her daily herioc done. The first instance to pop was Halls of Lightning. First thing I noticed? Except for one little undead (mage I think), it was all tauren. Warrior tank, DK, tree druid healer, and me. It just struck me as slightly amusing. It started out fine, tank keeping aggro, healer keeping me alive when I attacked the wrong mob, DPS doing their job. Then a blue dagger dropped. I was the last to roll, and I noticed everyone had hit 'greed', except the druid, who hit 'need'. I thought for a second about hitting 'need' myself, and then, if I won, calling for a /roll, but then I decided not to bother, and hit 'greed'. It took until the next pull for anyone to say anything.

Mage: need?
Druid: lvl'ing a rogue
DK: wtf
Mage: rogue not here
Druid: its a f'ing blue worth 7g
Druid: qq
Me: .....
Druid: either you stop qq'ing or i stop healing
Druid: choose
Me: ..... are you serious

At this point someone pulled the boss, along with the group he was near. I think it was an accident. We wiped. Apparently the druid wanted us to kill the boss with the buff on him, so he didn't even bother healing when we pulled. Everyone just dropped the group at that point.

So it seems that a blue item worth only a few gold is enough for someone to throw a hissy-fit over, when someone else didn't like his decision to be greedy. Just forget about the dagger, I really don't like the item anyways, I think the stats are horrible (just my opinion guys, don't flame me). It was the druid's attitude that bugged me. He was the second-to-last to roll, so he saw everyone else pick 'greed'. He deliberately chose to screw over the other people in the group, because he wanted this item, which he even said was hardly worth anything. Seriously, he could have hit 'greed', and if he lost, he could have asked the winner if he could have it, 'for his alt'. I know I would have given it to him, and the rest of the group seemed like decent people, until he pulled that little stunt.

And then, after that, he takes advantage of his role as healer to attempt to blackmail the rest of us into shutting up. That, sir, is a seriously low thing to do. And then letting us all wipe, because he wanted to (in his words) 'choose the hard one'.

So, thank you Draxuul, for showing what a complete, total blit you are. Thankfully, my ignore list will keep me from ever having to deal with your elitist, self-centered bullcrap ever again.

And I did get Taarren's heroic done. It was Nexus, with a DK tank that chain-pulled the entire instance. It was awesome, except for the fact that I was low on mana the first half. The hit-rating trinket did not drop though. :(

Random Updates

First of all, work is still crazy.
Second, I'm still sleep deprived.
Third, time is going by too fast, can hardly believe it's almost Thanksgiving :(

In-game stuffs now:

Bearkat is now on Feathermoon, and finished his ravasaur quests. I'm probably not going to be playing him much until Windstar is 80 and has at least some gear, though.

Speaking of Star, she is now most of the way through 76. Almost time for Cold Weather Flying!

On Gilneas, my pally Arien is finally getting to do what I leveled her for in the first place: heal stuff! Last weekend, I got to bring her to a guild Mallygos attempt. We wiped on phase 3 every time, but it was still pretty fun and I got a little experience raid-healing on a pally. Then this weekend (friday and yesterday) the guild tried some ToC 10-man, which I brought Kel to, since she's my best geared toon. Wiped a lot, learned a lot, not a really bad run. Then finally we did a Naxx alt-run. Arien got to heal again, the only problem was there were 2 priests as well, that were better geared, so I pretty much just twiddled my thumbs through all but boss fights. She did get a couple ret upgrades, including her t7 shoulders, and my sister's DK Barraccus got a few tanking upgrades as well. No real upgrades for her healing set, but o well. :P

I have been thinking a little bit about transfering Arien (and my Nelf warrior Kalenedral, cause they are BFFs) to Feathermoon. Only problems are: not a lot of money to spare for the transfers, and my toon list on Feathermoon is almost full already. Also, since I made Arien to be basically a healer for the guild, I feel a little like it would be betraying my friends on Gilneas. Although, on the other hand, I have respec'ed Jahira to kitty/resto, and she is better geared than Arien, even if it is balance gear.

And on Durotan Hordeside, I just discovered today that my guild is disbanding. Not sure of specifics, but it seems like there is just a lot of different opinions between guildies, as far as raiding and such. It is all very friendly but sad, no one has any hard feelings, the leaders have simply decided that keeping it all together is not working very well anymore. One of the officers is making his own raiding guild, which he has invited anyone that wants to to join, but I'm afriad I won't be. Nothing against anyone, I just haven't been playing on that server much at all for a few months now, and it's not likely to change. I wish everyone the best, and will miss our random guildchat, but I don't see much point in trying to find another guild that is willing to have a member that is online only once a week, if that. And so:
/target Off The Team
/salute
/hugs

And on that note, time to go get Star another level or 2. /waves

Lions and panthers and bears...

Oh my?
In the mood to show off my druids now. I have 4 of them, 2 alliance and 2 horde. One is lvl 80, one is 17, and the other 2 are 70-something. ALL are feral, tho 2 have dual-specs. So now, starting at the top and going down, I think, here's some pics and bits of background info:

Jahira is on the Gilneas server. She's my first 80 druid, second 80 toon iirc, though my troll hunter Rajji might've beaten her. I have bounced her between feral and balance specs a few times, and now those are her dual specs. Although, I have to admit, I'm having trouble figuring out boomkin dps. She's been feral for a while now, doing heroics and stuff, because her feral dps is much better than balance. Her gear sets are roughly equal, in fact her balance set might be better, but she consistently does 300-400 more dps as a kitty, and I'm not sure why. Honestly, I've been having so much fun on Windstar, I may just switch her off-spec to resto. The guild usually needs healers more than dps, and also it would let some of our regular healers have a bit of a break. Her boomkin gear would be ok for healing with a couple gem/enchant changes, and she has a couple older pieces in the bank (because I am a packrat) that don't have +hit on them, but is otherwise good gear. Plus that would be one way to get her into raids. Kel has always been my raiding main, but giving her a break would be nice, esp. since I'm very happy with her current gear. Jahira has been in Naxx a few times, but hasn't been to Ulduar yet, which makes me sad, so this may be her ticket.

Little bit of RP stuffs: Jahira is the 3rd sibling in the family me and my sister have on Gilneas. Kel and Alanon are older, Pitchblack and Quae are younger. Alanon and Jahira actually raised Pitch mostly, when their mother was sick for a long spell and their father was helping in the Emerald Dream. She is a bit of a loner, like Kel, but it's more that she enjoys peace and quiet, whereas Kel is just outright anti-social most of the time. She's between 3,000-4,ooo years old (haven't worked out exactly yet).

Next is my other Alliance druid, who I've been posting about quite a bit lately, Windstar.

Star is currently level 74, and is on the Feathermoon server. She and my hunter Tadrith are twins, and are the elven equilalent of being in their early 20s. They're fraternal, but there's enough resemblance that people can tell they're related. Funny thing, I meant to get Tad up to 80 before leveling her, but I got really attached to my little kitty, plus some RP stuff occured to me, so Star gets to be my first 80 on Feathermoon. (And collect badges so my Malorne-following hunter can have a spiffy bow all through gun-happy Northrend. Seriously Blizz, what is with all the danged guns?!) She is a Druid of the Antler, which means she reveres Malorne (and to a slightly lesser extent, Cenarius). This has caused a bit of internal conflict at times, because her order(?) hates engineering, believing it to be the worst cause of the destruction of nature, but Star has a couple friends that are engineers. For now she tries to just ignore the engineering bit, esp. for Frazle, since he mostly just makes little gadgets, and not the big machinery that would be a problem. She does like peace and quiet, but she is happier around friends. She has also developed a 'kitty-radar', for people that are unhappy about something, who she will then go try to offer comfort. In fact, she and Shaurria are refered to, OOCly, as therapy cats. :D She is typically a friendly, peaceful person, but she can and will get protective over people she cares about.

Star is also dual-spec'ed feral dps/resto, and I think playing part-time healer is really good for her IC. Keeping Arvoss alive through dungeons and group quests kind of strengthens their friendship, I think.

Next is my first cow druid, Bearkat. He is currently level 72 and is in the process of being transfered from Durotan to Feathermoon.

I. Love. New. Catforms.

The only problem I have with the new tauren kitty is the eyes. My little gentle, even-tempered Bear looks very angry. :( Other than that, I think the new cat forms, both elf and tauren, are totally awesome. Bear forms are nice too, though they look a little too cute to be taken very seriously. :)
Bearkat is kinda my little baby. I created him a looong time ago, but he has always been slow leveling. Not because I don't like playing him, just that I keep getting distracted away from questing with him. He was still 68 when Wrath came out, and he didn't even get to Northrend til after Rajji and Taarren. Hopefully, when the transfer is done, I will be able to actually play and level him, once he is on a server I like with no alts to distract me. Well, no high-level alts.
ICly, he is a good friend to my sister's 2 Belf hunters, Kaled and Khaotic. He is generally friendly and calm, but he doesn't tolerate rude or cruel behavior. He prefers the open, wild areas to cities, and he doesn't like Forsaken much, but he will work with them. Not sure exactly what his age would be, but he's somewhere between 'young' and 'middle-age'.

And last on the list, but definately not least, is my little baby tauren, Skypaw, on Wyrmrest Accord. He is only level 17, so no kitty form yet, but bear form is plenty of fun for now. He's kind of stuck for now, because I've been having so much fun on Feathermoon, and I'm waiting for my sis to get her tauren DK on WA done with the starting zone so they can RP/run dungeons together.

He has an interesting history, which I have only figured out a small part of. He is very young, and is an orphan. He spends more time with orcs than other tauren, for now, but he is learning the orcs code of honor, which I think is a good thing. Losing his family, however, has affected him greatly. He is shy and nervous, almost never leaves bear form (or cat form, once he learns it), and doesn't talk much, unless spoken to first. I haven't thought up much more than that, but when I do start focusing on him, I think he will be lots of fun.

And that's all for now. Next expansion, I may be making more droods, just for the sake of seeing what the worgen/troll forms look like. Not sure yet how seriously I will play them though.
And now to go see if Bear's transfer is finished yet..... /wave

Background Bits...

... because I'm bored and tired but not ready to sleep yet.

My Treng and my sister's Gwynifar have an interesting little story. They met almost by accident. Gwyn had gotten a reputation for being a prankster in her home of Silvermoon, so her parents sent her to Durotar, to see if the orcs could help her settle down some. Her mentor there sent her to track a boar, after sending a young orc to do the same thing a few minutes before. The two met on the trail, and immediately hit it off. They became such good friends that Treng asked her if she would like to be adopted into his Icefang Clan, a small Frostwolf subclan. Most of the pets they have gotten were Gwyn's ideas. Treng has learned to just go along with it. :) My sister and I created a guild for them on Moon Guard named Shano nor Balah, which means Blood and Honor in Thalassian. The orcish phrase (Treng's personal motto as well) in the Blood Elf language is another symbol of the bond these two have. Treng would literally do anything to protect his 'sister'.

My paladin Arien, on Gilneas, has two very close, important relationships. One is her best friend, my Night Elf warrior Kalenedral. The other is my sister's Nelf druid Alanon. Arien and Kal's friendship is unfortunately all in my head, and in stories I've written (WTB second account?). They met while Arien was in Stormwind, training to be a paladin. Kal had just learned that her older sister had been lost in a failed excursion into Northrend. Arien found her crying in the Cathedral grounds, and comforted her. They continued meeting whenever Arien could get away from her studies, and moved into a small place together when Arien 'graduated'. They are closer than sisters, and almost literally share everything. Later on, Arien met Kal's cousins, which are all my sister's and my elf toons. Alanon, the second oldest in the family, began noticing her, and she soon started noticing him back. He began helping her out with stuff (aka, instances and group quests), and then they began hanging out just because they liked each others' company. He comforted her through the rough time after the Wrathgate, and then the rest of the family began noticing the two's growing relationship. It took forever, as Arien was rather shy, and Alanon had been through a rough relationship with a human a few centuries before, and didn't want to rush with Arien, because he was afraid of messing something up. Long story short, they have finally confessed their feelings to each other, and are very happy now. More detailed posts on Arien's story will be posted in the future, I promise.

And now I am about to doze off on my keyboard, so I'm ending it here, for now. May have to post Arien stuff soon, now that I've started thinking about her again. Goodnight!

Further Introductions - Feathermoon

Feathermoon is the next-to-newest server for me to start playing (newest being Wyrmrest Accord). And I have to say, I love it there. Sure, it has weirdos and jerks, like everywhere else, but I have met some pretty cool people there as well, that have made me feel welcome on the server as well as in their RP groups. <3

And now my characters, Alliance side first:

First, Tadrith, 63 Nelf hunter, BM spec. I have a theme going with him. I LOVE Mercedes Lackey's Heralds of Valdemar books. So Tad and all his pets are named after favorite gryphon characters in a few of those books. There's Tadrith, Keenath (wolf), Treyvan (bear), Aubri (dragonhawk), and Skandranon (Shy-Rotam). Eventually there will be Kelvren, the spirit beast, preferably Loque'nahak.

Windstar is next, 59 Nelf druid, feral kitty/resto dual-spec, and the first druid I'm trying healing with. RP-wise, she and Tad are twins, born not long before the last war. She is also my RP main, since Tad is a bit anti-social most of the time.

I have a DK bank alt, simply because it was a way to get a little starting gold. His name is Melset, which was randomly generated from the character creation screen, and he's human. He's level 60 and blood spec.

And my baby Rynia, 18 human warlock, not really speced any certain way yet. I'm mostly waiting to level her until Star and Tad are both 80 and I can get some heirlooms. Still working out her personality RP-wise, kinda hard for me, since I have trouble playing 'bad guys', but it's slightly harder to make a demon-using, shadow-loving warlock into a 'good person'. I will work it out though. :)

Now for Horde:

Tallía, 23 Belf mage, frost spec for now, may play with other specs later,

Araji, 16 troll shaman, going to be enhancement, just because it is darned fun to play, for me at least.

I don't play my Hordies as much as I would like to, mostly because I can only focus on one or two toons at a time, and because I don't really know anyone on Horde-side. Tallía will be next in line after the twins are leveled, though. I also plan on making a couple transfers from Durotan, too, whenever my financial situation allows. Bearkat and Caderlly at least. Also, speaking of Cad, he may be making a faction change at the same time, since I've been thinking of switching him to a worgen when Cataclysm comes out. Nothing certain yet though.

Well, that's the basic introductions. Details, stories, etc. will follow later.

Further Introductions - Horde

Now for my Horde guys :D

Durotan has most of them. I started here during BC, to play with a rl friend, and eventually transfered all my other high-level Hordies. I don't play there as much anymore, but I still pop on now and then to do dailies and say hi to the awesome guild I'm in.

Rajji is the first, 80 troll hunter, BM spec and my first hunter to get a spirit beast. He got Gondria the day after my sister's hunter Boogga got her.

Vanyell, 40 undead mage, frost spec, the highest level I have ever played a mage,

Treos, 32 Belf paladin, ret spec, eventually probably going to copy Arien and make her dual-spec holy (cause healing is pretty fun),

Those are my original toons I made on the server, next ones were tranfered from Gilneas.

Taarren, 76 tauren shaman, enhancement (for life), the second toon I ever made :),

Bearkat, 72 tauren druid, feral kitty spec, gonna be dual feral tank/dps specs when he hits 80,

Caderlly, 71 undead priest, shadow/holy dual speced, has a rather uncertain future at the moment, because I like playing him, but I'm not sure if I want to keep him here or maybe transfer him again.

Next is Moon Guard:

Treng, 24(?) orc hunter, BM spec, with pets that ALL took a hike to tame. His wolf is from Elwynn, his moth is from Azuremyst, and his bird is a hawk from Howling Fjord. RP-wise, they were all the fault of his 'adopted sister', my sis' Belf hunter Gwynifar. She constantly drags poor Treng along on her crazy ideas :D,

Vestaki, 64 death knight, started playing her frost spec, but switched to blood, just because it's my favorite spec, and the most fun for me to play,

Riyna, 17 (or 18, can't remember) Belf rogue, still working on what spec I want to try for her. Haven't played rogues much, so I'm kind of a noob as far as their specs go.

Moon Guard is a very full server, so it's actually hard for me to play there. My old computer just can't handle the lag sometimes. So Treng may be getting a server transfer eventually. Have no clue what I'm gonna do with the other 2. :(

Only have one toon so far on Wyrmrest Accord, a baby tauren druid named Skypaw. He's about level 17 now, going feral with him for RP reasons, as well as the fact that I just love that spec. ICly, he is very shy, almost never leaves his feral forms, and doesn't talk much. Still working out the story on why he's like that. Centaurs may be involved.

And now for a bit of a random side note -

For some reason, I like playing Alliance more than Horde, which is why I have 3 80 allies (soon to be more) and only one 80 Horde. The only thing I can think of is, Alliance has a lot more lore for the Alliance. Horde basically are just trying to survive, and the quest lines and lore are just not very deep. Also, while I do love the Forsaken, their "kill everything living because we're mad at being stuck in undeath" attitudes bother me sometimes. I do at least some RP with all my toons, even if most of it is only in my own head, and I just can't focus on a mindset like that. Vanyell is the only undead I have any sort of personality/story worked out with, and he is just not really upset at being a Forsaken. He misses being alive, but he's not going to make a big deal out of it.

Alliance, on the other hand, have many intriguing plots and quest chains. I wrote a story out of my pally Arien doing the worgen questline that starts in Ashenvale, which will be posted, probably soon. The chain for the burned down inn on the Barrens/Dustwallow border is also one of my favorites, mostly because for the very last part, you get to take flowers to James' family's graves. Little touches like that give RP/lore nerds like me a huge thrill. I just haven't found anything like it Horde-side, so it's harder to get immersed on those characters.

So anyways, thats most of my characters. Next post will be for all my guys on Feathermoon. May be a ramble alert, since this is the server I have played the most all week, and I'm getting very attached to both my characters, and the awesome people I have been RPing with most of my online time. :D
