So, I did it

The Guild Wars 2 sale was just too much to pass up, so now I have my own account full of characters. And of course, the first one I rolled was a ranger. Sis had said some good things about the Norn area, so Kel Stormbough has been introduced to Tyria. And can I just say.... dang...

help me i kind of made her hot whoops

With Sabre. Because Kel must always have a Sabre.

With Odin.

With Drago the ice drake.

This is Tahnka, and unfortunately I can't ever remember exactly what he is. But look at that face, he's so cute (and deadly).

With Thor.

I may have gone a little crazy with charming things.... >.>
But seriously, I accidentally made a really good-looking character, so I'm not complaining. I also have a very small and unintentional thing with Norse pet names (She also has a fern hound named Freya, but no screenshots of her yet).

Continuing with my altaholicism, I also have a charr warrior, sylvari elementalist, and a human guardian. I'm also planning one or two more. I really want a charr engineer, and also want to try out a mesmer. I had an asura thief, but the character wasn't really working out, so I'm going to reroll a different race later. Apparently asuras fall into the same category with me as gnomes in WoW; they're cute and I like them, I just can't get interested in them enough to actually play one. I might try another asura someday, maybe another ranger since they're so much fun.

Ari Ashleaf, elementalist

Raskur Steelfang, warrior

Kero Skyblade, guardian
So far my warrior has been my second favorite. Mostly because I just love the charr. Kero has been pretty fun as well, although guardians were not exactly like I expected. I was expecting more like a paladin/fighter type class, but she's more like a mix between paladin and water-mage. I'm getting used to it though!

That's it for now, I think. I really should be taking more screenshot with my characters, rather than almost all viewpoint scenery shots. Although I do have a new favorite pic of Kel.

And on that note... /Waves

Oh yea....

I almost forgot to mention -

Jahira is finally caught up to her family. And! It was mostly on pet battles. Because I am so bored with questing right now, thinking about it makes me want to cry. I must have gotten at least 6 pets from baby-levels to 25 just leveling her from 87 1/2 to 90. (With a little bit of questing to break the monotony.)

She's spent a little time on Loot Timeless Isle, so she's got some gear upgrades, and I'm not failing quite as much boomkin'ing. Although I've been using her gear tokens while in her resto spec, so most of her gear is more for healing. It works well enough, though.

I'm kinda sorta trying to get her into an RP night, but so far I haven't had the energy, physically or mentally. I really want to do something with her before my game time runs out on that account, though, so I'm gonna try again tomorrow night. Wish me luck!

And now I should get to bed, so hopefully I can be actually awake for tomorrow night....

Oh hey guess what....

I'm a happy camper right now. I mentioned in my last post that I was looking for Final Fantasy 14? Well, I finally found it! And have been playing it as much as I can get away with ever since.

I've rerolled my characters, just changing their names slightly. Jorren has a different last name, and Kero is now Kerowyn. I also have a new one, a Miqo'te arcanist (future summoner) named Rynna. I've been tinkering here and there on everybody, but Jorren has been my main focus, because pugilists are FUN.

I've also been taking way too many screenshots...

Jorren is working on getting the monk job. He's gotten to level 16 as a pugilist, and I just got level 15 as a lancer earlier today. He's also a level 13 miner. Once I get his level 15 lancer quest done (because I hate to leave things like that incomplete), he'll be back to punching things for a while.

(Why do my characters always have to blink right when I hit the screenshot key?)

Kerowyn is up to level 9 (if I remember correctly). She's going to be a dragoon, eventually, which sounds like a flip-ton of fun. She'll probably be the one I focus on after Jorren is leveled enough to make me happy.

And here's Rynna. She's been my "tinker with when I'm bored" character, and is only level 7 (or maybe 8, I can't remember for sure). The first couple levels were a little rough, and I wasn't sure how much I was going to like the class, but since she got her carbuncle pet, she's been a blast.

The sad news is, this has all been with the free 30 days that came with the game purchase. Once that's done, I'm not sure how much I'm going to be playing. I will probably pick up one month subs whenever I have the extra money, but lately that hasn't been very often. To be completely honest, my computer situation is the only thing keeping me from quitting WoW for this game. The Final Fantasy series has always been my favorite, and lately Warcraft just hasn't been very interesting. Even with the expansion, the only thing I'm getting excited about is the garrisons. The only reason I even still log on is my friends, and since I've stopped RPing (for a lot of personal reasons, but mostly because I don't have the energy/brain power for it anymore), I haven't even been doing anything with them. I miss them, but everyone has RP plots and stories going on, and I'm pretty clueless about all of it, so I couldn't really join in even if I wanted to. Final Fantasy has been different. I don't know anyone in the game, so I'm still lonely, but there's so much to do in game that I don't really notice it much. And, somehow, not knowing anyone makes it less lonely. Like, it's harder to miss people when there is no people to miss, if that makes sense. (Not that I wouldn't be dancing for joy if any of my Warcraft friends started playing Final Fantasy more. I'm not sure anyone has since the beta ended.) I've even noticed that I've been happier at work, after getting some play time in the morning, since I got this game. I'm sure it won't last, and eventually the "new shiny" aspect will wear off, but dammit I'm going to enjoy myself while it lasts.

Just in case anyone is wondering, I don't think I'm going to completely quit WoW, even after I get a new computer and can play Final Fantasy and Star Wars more often. And I am getting the new expansion, at least for my main account, whenever it comes out. I'm just going to be getting game-time cards, like I'm currently doing with my second account, since I can just buy one of those whenever I want to play, and can afford it, instead of the subscription automatically withdrawing every month.

And now, I think that's enough rambling for one post. I've still got over half of my free time with Final Fantasy, so I'll probably be showing off posting more screenshots from that later. Then it'll most likely be back to Star Wars stuff, especially since they're about to have a new expansion. (Which looks like more fun than DudesWarlords of Draenor... :P )

Server Troubles

Still happily tinkering away on Star Wars. At least most of the time. I'm not sure if I've mentioned yet, but most of my characters are all on the RP server, Ebon Hawk. I have a few on the other RP server, Begeren Colony, as well. Specifically, my Sith Warrior, Jhorren (who has been introduced here already), and my smuggler, Rhaiko -

I only just started playing Rhaiko recently, and she's been a total blast. She has a major 'tough girl' attitude, with a secret soft spot that isn't seen very often. I'm pretty much totally in love with this character, and the class story is pretty fun, too.

But the server..... ugh. Begeren Colony doesn't have the most RP friendly reputation (in fact there was a forum post about at least one guild saying that they were going to grief and troll ALL the RPers off 'their' server). And then, in an instance run, I ran into the second person who thought it was ok to take drops that they can't use away from someone who needed it as a legitimate upgrade (aka, me). The first time it was Jhorren losing a new piece of armor. The ninja-looter then left the group without a word after the instance was done. The second time, a Jedi (go figure) took a gun from Rhaiko, because he said his companion didn't have one.

Well, I think I just give up. At least Rhaiko is only level 19, so rerolling her on Ebon Hawk won't be a big deal. (Although I'm developing a severe dislike of Ord Mantell...) But poor Jhorren is going to have to sit and wait until I can save up the cartel coins to transfer him. :(

Another small consolation is that I can race-change (er, species-change?) Rhaiko, because I seriously have a lot of human(-ish) characters, and I want more variety so I can get all my legacy achievements. So, now Rhaiko is a Twi'lek, because I somehow didn't have one yet.

As far as my others go, Qurana is almost done with Hoth, and almost level 40. Khrysi is almost 30 and working on Alderaan. Xadarr is almost 20, and about halfway though Balmorra. I may start working on my other Sith Warrior, Korriala, while waiting to get Jhorren off the other server, as well.

And.... I may have rolled another Agent, who's main purpose will be romancing Watcher Two. >.>  Don't judge!

say 'hi', Krasio
And then there's all my other alts who I tinker on when I'm bored.... I'm gonna be busy for a nice, long while.

More Sketches

Did a couple more drawings, and thought I'd share. I think my druid cat forms are getting a bit better.

Windstar, just chilling. And thinking.

My other Night Elf druid, Jahira.

I did this one a while ago, but I wasn't happy with it, so I went and fixed some things. Also, this is Star's winter coat, so she's a little fluffier than usual. :D

And a couple more random, non-WoW pics. Have a couple horses. >.>

And that's it for now. Maybe someday I will get the nerve to try drawing people. I have some things in my head I would love to try to get on paper, mostly my pally Arien with my sis's druid, Alanon. Maybe something with Arien and Kalenedral, too. *Thinking* Anyways, time to go sleep. /Waves

It's about time ...

So, I finally was able to transfer Arien and Kalenedral to Feathermoon. \o/
I had some issues with Arien, the transfer was rejected the first time, with no reason given. Second try worked fine, however. I'm now thinking of how to get them introduced into the RP circle Windstar keeps company with.

Kelesaria finally finished all her valiant dailies, with the Argent Tournament. I had to take her to draenei-land and do all the starter-zone quests to reach exalted with the spacegoats, but it was fun, and worth it. Crusader Kel now has enough dailies to get 10 champion's seals a day. Hello, new pets and mounts!*rubs hands in glee* And Kal got to bring a couple heirlooms with her for my baby rogue on Horde-side. Now to do it all again with Star and Arien. :P

And now it is late, and I'm sleepy. Going to see if Arien can meet some people tomorrow night, after some Windstar-RP time. There's a pretty awesome story-line going on with some of Star's friends, you can see more about it here. Star is actually getting to help out a little with parts of it, too. I'm pretty excited (and a bit worried about poor Loreli).

Well, goodnight for now. Hopefully will be doing more writing, now that my main RP toons are all on RP servers. Already working on a little something with Kal and Arien. >.>

Catching up again

I don't intend the long silent spells, but work and health issues have been making it hard to come up with anything worthwhile to write about. So, here's a bit of what I've been up to. I'm afraid it will be pretty short.

I'm sketching a little bit again. Got a new horse and new Windstar I'm working on. Will post them when I'm happy with them.

Speaking of Windstar, she is back in Stormwind for a while. She will most likely be very quiet for a while, until she rests/heals a bit. She has also realized how much she missed her friends, especially Shaur and Tak, and probably won't be going anywhere for a while. She even missed Pitch. A little. >.>

My guild on Gilneas is starting to raid again. Wait, let me clarify. The guild that one of my friends started, that everyone switched their toons to, is starting to raid. The old guild has gone almost totally stale, since the GM let a friend take over her account, and has been totally MIA since. The other officers got fed up with not being able to do anything about recruiting, setting up raids, etc., so one of them turned his alt guild into our new raiding guild. There was a tiny bit of drama involved, but for the most part it went smoothly. Ok, back on topic. We have been doing the weekly raid, as well as ICC rep farming runs. There has been talk of going back to Ulduar and TotC, since we're not geared enough for ICC yet. Kelesaria has the friendly version of the Ashen Verdict ring, and just got enough frost badges for her new cloak. Jahira and Arien have been sadly neglected, other than Jahira's jewelcrafting dailies, and occasional tournament dailies on Arien. The new guild wants everyone to have a single raiding main, though, which for me is Kel, so I'm not really bothered by it. Arien will eventually be moved anyways, with Kalenedral, and will have a lot more people to do stuff with, so I'm considering this a temporary lull for her.

I have been alt-ing a lot lately, too. My 40-something mage Vanyell has gotten a few random dungeons, and a Peddlefeet pet. My baby druid Skypaw has done a few dungeons as well (I love tank insta-queues).My rogue Kalirra has been resting while I try to decide if I want to concentrate on Sky, then use him to get her some heirlooms. Mostly I just want the daggers. Keeping weapons up-to-par can be such a pain. My warlock on Feathermoon, Rynia, has also been getting a lot of attention. She's now lvl 36, iirc, and still going. Star has been trying to collect stone keeper's shards for the staff (because hit rating for lowbies is yummy), she already has heirloom shoulders, and I've been slowly getting badges for a robe. This goes to prove, I guess, that it isn't really the class I have problems with, because I have never gotten a 'lock past lvl 20 before. Rynia, however, is fun. I do kind of wish her demons had more interesting names, though. I really need to start getting her into some RP, too.

And that's all I can think of for now. /Waves

Theme Songs

I have been listening too itunes a lot lately, and thinking about some of my characters, and I think I've figured out theme songs for a couple of them.

For Kelesaria, I'll Survive, by Lacuna Coil.

Arien is definately Skillet's Awake and Alive.

For my warrior Kalenedral, Breaking Benjamin's I Will Not Bow fits her pretty well.

Those are the only ones I have figured out so far. Windstar is not cooperating with finding her theme. There's one or two songs that are close, but don't quite fit her. Guess I just need to keep thinking (and listening) for a while.

What I've Been Up To

Well, my job has been screwing up my hours, so I've had more free time for WoW, now that the holiday craze is settling down. One of my co-workers mentioned that it should be temporary, and should be back to normal in a couple weeks or so. I sure hope so. Much as I do not like my job right now, being able to pay bills is good. And I really, REALLY hate job-hunting. :(

I've gotten my new laptop mostly set up, with WoW and all my addons, itunes, Runes of Magic (which I hardly play anymore), and stuff like that. It is so much fun being able to actually run around in Dalaran now, without horrible lag. I don't get stuck on loading screens much anymore either. Yay!

With the Christmas break, the LFD groups have all been full of jerks and noobs, which have seriously lowered my desire to camp heroics on Feathermoon. On Gilneas it isn't as bad, because my guildies have been on a bit more, so I can group with people I know. We sometimes have to PuG one or two, but it's still fun because most of the group knows what they're doing. Arien has recently gotten 2 pieces of her ret t9, and several drops for her healing set. Today, I actually healed a full run of all 3 ICC heroics, and I think I did all right. She still needs some stuff, like a new healing libram and cloak, but I'm getting pretty happy with her gear. Her ret set still has several blues to replace, though. On that note, any sort of advice on which holy libram to get would be welcome, since I'm still pretty much a noob with pally healing.

And besides all that, I've been working on more alts. I have made a couple on Wyrmrest Accord, another RP server, just for kicks. So far I have a Tauren druid and a Belf rogue, and a Nelf death knight that I just made a couple days ago. I may transfer a couple others over from Durotan, since I haven't really seen any of my old friends/guildies there for ages. That will have to wait for my job to sort out, though.

My job issues are also making it harder to move Arien and Kalenedral to Feathermoon. I want to move them together, and I just don't know if I can spare the $50 right now. But I really want to get them moved and get it over with. It's getting pretty frustrating. :(

Speaking of Kal, I've been doing some random questing on her recently. She just dinged 41 earlier today, and is over halfway to 42 already. Having 3 heirlooms (shoulders, chestpiece, and weapon) is so awesome. I also went ahead and got her dual spec, though she won't actually be tanking much of anything until Outlands at least. I don't trust the lowbie LFD yet.

My troll hunter Rajji has been casually looking for Arcturis, the newest spirit beast, but no luck so far. It has mostly consisted of logging on him, sitting by Amberpine for a few minutes, then getting bored and hopping on someone else. I'm hoping to maybe get lucky sooner or later, and honestly I don't mind if it takes a while. He has Gondria already, and I don't play him much anyways. In fact, I have been toying with the idea of transfering him to Wyrmrest Accord and switching him to a worgen, when Cataclysm comes out. I have already decided to do that with my priest Caderlly, I just don't know which server I want to put Cad on yet. Either Gilneas or Feathermoon, I think.

I seem to be mostly over my cold, finally, except for the cough, which is usually the last symptom to go anyways. Still (sort of) glad I'm not working as much for now, though, since hacking myself hoarse is not fun when trying to work (and gets me some funny looks from the customers).

And that's all I can think of for now. May possibly be more stories soon-ish, if I can get myself away from WoW long enough to actually write stuff. ;)

Arien and the Scythe of Elune

(This is a story I wrote while going through the Scythe of Elune quest chain, that starts in Forest Song in Ashenvale. Some of it, like npc chat and such, is written from the actual quest text. Enjoy!)

Arien slipped down the path, trying to be as silent as possible while wearing chainmail armor and carrying a huge axe. The sinister shadows around her seemed oblivious to her presence, but there was no telling how long that would last. Sentinel Frostshadow had asked her to come explore the hidden shrine near the border to Felwood. The mysterious wolf-men that had invaded the tiny vale were making it difficult to reach the book that the Sentinel wanted Arien to inspect, however. Finally the inevitable discovery; a worgen smelled her and made a fierce, charging attack. Arien met it head-on, blocking its claws with her axe handle, then bringing her weapon around in a smooth arc that nearly cut the thing in half. It fell, twitching, and she looked around to see if any more were coming.Fortunately, none of the other creatures seemed to have noticed. She resumed her sneaking, and only had to deal with two more of the monsters, one at a time, before finally reaching the tome. She noticed, as she aproached the pedestal it sat upon, that it was remarkably well-preserved for being out in the weather as it was. She reached a hand to open the cover, and as she touched it, suddenly light came spilling out of the book. A tiny, flickering figure appeared, floating just above the pages, and spoke:

"The numbers of my companions dwindles, goddess, and my own power shall soon be insufficient to hold back the demons of Felwood.
"Goddess, grant me the power to overcome my enemies! Hear me, please, my need is desperate and my cause is just!
"What... what is this? Could this be the answer to my prayers? Elune has granted me a weapon--this scythe--to defeat the demons."

The ghost's voice was faint but clear. Arien's jaw dropped at her appearance. Sentinel Frostshadow had warned Arien that the Tome of Mel'Thandris was not a normal book, and now the paladin understood. But what had triggered the memory, and how had it been preserved inside this tome? She shook her head slightly, puzzled, and prepared to escape the shrine.

Arien quickly looked around. The nearest wolf-men had amazingly not noticed the tome's display, so she started slowly sneaking back towards the path, taking the same route as she had entering. She reached the little trail without incident, and prayed a quick 'thank you' to the Light, quickly leaving the cursed vale behind. Once back on the road, she called her warhorse, mounted, and rode back to Forest Song as fast as Faithful could run.

The Sentinel was shocked at Arien's report. "That was priestess Velinde Starsong, my predecessor!" she exclaimed. "She seemed to have the situation in Felwood under control, but then one day she just disappeared. I was sent to continue her work here, but I'm afraid I know nothing about her." Sentinel Frostshadow thought for a moment. "Perhaps a commander of the Sentinels might have some information they didn't tell me. Go see Thyn'tel Bladeweaver, in Darnassus. Surely she will understand the need for such information." Arien wasn't as certain as the sentinel that a ranking officer would reveal anything to a stranger, but she suposed it was worth asking about it.

A short hippogryph ride later, Arien stood in the Warrior's Terrace of Darnassus. Commander Bladeweaver stared at the paladin for a moment. "It is common knowledge that Priestess Starsong disappeared some time ago. As to further details of her departure ... it would take a very good reason for me to devulge such information." Arien supressed a sigh, then reported her incident with the Tome. Bladeweaver's eyes widened. "The Tome of Mel'Thandris showed you this? Well then, I supose there is no harm in allowing you to examine her belongings." She handed Arien a key, then gave directions to the bunkhouse where Starsong's belongings were kept. "I should tell you, the Sentinels believe she had reasons for leaving, and expect her return at any time. She has done much to earn our trust." Arien nodded, and left for the bunkhouse.

She quickly found the room, and retreived a journal from the small chest inside. She was curious about what would make such a respected priestess just pack up and leave, so she opened the journal and began skimming through it. As she read, though, she began feeling a small chill of dread crawl up her spine.

"Elune has granted my wishes ... Holding the Scythe in my hands, I recieved a vision of chaos ... the Lords of Emerald Flame ... I was able to draw worgen into our world ... I have identified leaders in their packs, and given them command ... A pack is lost ... I begin to worry about the leaders ... The small authority I give them, they stretch to the limits ... Though I have not summoned additional worgen, their numbers continue to increase ... Ordered them to remain at the Shrine ... Reports of a wizard, named Arugal ... see what he knows ... I will travel to the port and book passage to the New World ..."

Arien closed the journal, her heart pounding and mind whirling. This explained the monsters' presence at the shrine, and fortunately the priestess had enough control that her orders to stay confined still held them. She thought for a moment about the wizard Velinde had mentioned, this Arugal. The name was disturbingly familiar, but she could not remember where or when she might have heard it. She finally decided to think more about it later; the Sentinel commander was waiting for her to return with any important information, and this certainly qualified. She tucked the book under her arm and strode quickly back to Warrior's Terrace.

Sentinel Bladeweaver skimmed through the journal with raised eyebrows. "It seems Velinde's disappeareance is more troubling than it appeared. Even still, I cannot believe she has come to a bad end. Perhaps we should make contact with her." She looked up at the paladin. "Arien, since you seem so interested, I would like your aid." Arien nodded, supressing another sigh. She was not so certain Velinde was still fine, but what else could she do? The Sentinel commander instructed her to go to Ratchet, the goblin port, and ask about the Priestess from the wharfmaster there.

Faithful trotted wearily into the town of Ratchet, and Arien gratefully slid off and tied him to the post by the inn. Stretching her legs, she slowly walked down the docks, towards the goblin that looked to be in charge. Dizzywig the Wharfmaster listened to Arien's discription, then quickly scanned through the papers in his hand, then moved to the stack nearby. "Human, eh? Don't see too many of your kind here." He rifled through paperwork for several minutes before suddenly looking up at her. "When exactly was this elf suposed to have been here?" With an apologetic grimace, Arien gave him the estimated time. "Oh, here we go, shoulda told me it was that long ago. Velinde, booked passage to Booty Bay on the Black Osprey. No other reports, so I assume she arrived safely. Not much else I can do for ya, but she did ask about overland travel on that side of the world, and I mentioned a caravan driver based in the Bay. Might be this Velinde traveled with him. Move along, now. I ain't got all day for ya."

Arien thanked the goblin, then strode down the dock to the shipmaster. She booked passage for herself and Faithful, and spent an hour or so caring for her horse, then waiting in the shade of the inn, before the boat was ready to sail. The next morning saw her was stepping off the boat in Booty Bay. She strode down the dock, and soon found a goblin that fit the wharfmaster's description. Ruzzgot looked at her suspiciously. "You don't look like someone with goods to ship, so either you're lookin' for work, which I ain't got, or you're talkin' to the wrong goblin. Which is it?" The nasty glint in his eye disappeared as Arien explained. "Guess I was wrong about you, and that don't happen every day. Just so happens I remember this Velinde you're lookin' for. Ain't every day a night elf priestess wants to travel with a caravan like my own. We split up on the way north, she was headin' for Darkshire. Wanted to see the clerk about some records, he might know somethin' useful. And be careful, the jungle can be deadly at the best of times." "Don't worry about me, I have been through worse before," she replied with a grin.

A long and uneventful ride later, and Arien was standing in the center of the town of Darkshire. It was appropriately named, the sky clouded and dark, the few trees leafless and dead-looking. It was altogether a rather depressing place, and Arien began having a faint feeling of dread again. She spotted the town hall and quickly trotted into it. Clerk Daltry was in the entryway, and was quite happy to answer Arien's questions. "With all the strange happenings these last few years, I've kept as good records of strangers as I can." he told her as he lead the way to the records room. "Never know when it might come in handy... though it usually isn't very pleasant when it does. Not that I'm suggesting anything about this Velinde you're looking for." He poked around in his records for a few minutes, with Arien standing behind him, trying to at least look patient. "No, I don't have any records of a Velinde Starsong staying here in Darkshire... though, I can hardly imagine a night elf priestess taking a room in the inn, if you take my meaning. Those wolf-men you mentioned though, that's something I've heard of. Just the other day, Calor came in with a string of their heads. He works for the Carevin family. Hunters of demons, undead, and other monsters. Jonathan is the head of the household, go speak to him."

Arien went to the house Daltry pointed out, and spoke to the man she found inside, who seemed very suspicious and slightly angry at her questions. "Dark times, these are," he muttered, with an odd accent. "And in such times an unknown stranger enters my home and asks of worgen... I'll ask no forgiveness for my suspicions, only answers. And answers, I will have." Arien was slightly taken aback, but she carefully explained her story, about the book and the mysterious wolf-men in Ashenvale, and the clues that had led her to Duskwood. He considered her for a long moment before answering. "Your story rings true... I don't understand your motives, but if your business here involves ridding the forrest of a number of worgen, then I can forgo understanding for the sake of results." Carevin then told her about a mine, to the south, that had been overrun with worgen. He then asked that she come share anything important she found. She agreed, then stood to leave. She paused at the door, though, and looked back at him. "As for understanding motives, sir, there is only one thing you need to keep in mind," she told him. At his inquiring look, she simply stated, "I am a paladin," and left.

Arien retrieved her mount from the innkeeper, and rode south, as the bell in the town hall began ringing the hour in dull, mournful clangs. A short ways out of town, she found a small dirt track branching off the road. She decided to follow it a ways, and soon was glad, as she spotted the dim shapes of several worgen in the gloom. She dismounted and tied Faithful, using a knot that would give out should too much pressure be put on it. The trained warhorse would come at her call, and she didn't want to leave him trapped, where worgen could come upon him unable to escape. She stayed in the trees, watching them for a few minutes, then checked her weapon. When she was certain everything was in order, she walked out at the edge of the tiny clearing. The gloom seemed to work in her favor, as nothing seemed to notice her at first. She slipped her way carefully though the worgen, trying to find single targets to fight against as she looked for the mine. They were nasty, vicious, dirty monsters, and after almost every fight, she would have to use the Light on her minor injuries, to cleanse them of infections that would have turned them serious, possibly fatal. Finally, she could see the entrance to the mine, but a small group of worgen were in her path. Arien took a deep breath, and called a challenge to the nearest, as she burned it with a blast of Light. As the entire pack of four rushed her, she consecrated the ground she stood on, burning their feet and distracting them just enough for her axe to find openings for deathblows. The last one fell before too long, and she took a moment to cleanse and heal her wounds, and to catch her breath. As she entered the mine tunnel, she saw the worgen inside were few, and sread out. Fighting her way through, she came to the end of the tunnel, and discovered a small mound of disturbed earth. As Arien inspected it, suddenly a pale light shone from it, and the same ghost as from the Shrine appeared, weeping.

"I have failed... I have failed in my duty... failed my people... The worgen run rampant, and the Scythe of my goddess is lost.
"This evil I have unleashed... In whose hand does the power my goddess granted to me now lie... By whose hand is it directed?"

Arien blinked a little, in shock. The priestess had lost the Scythe? The infestation of the Duskwood was now more understandable. The question now was, where had it gone? It suddenly hit her that Velinde was undoubtably dead, and she took a moment to pray for the spirit of the priestess she had never gotten to meet. She then looked about, back to the only escape from the cursed mine tunnel. More worgen had slunk into the mine, and she had to fight her way back out. Once outside of the tunnel, she whistled to her warhorse, who came trotting to her in a matter of a few minutes. She mounted quickly, and urged him around the edge of the clearing in front of the mine, avoiding the worgen scattered about. Once clear of the creatures, she kicked her horse into a full gallop, riding cross-country for the shortest route, jumping fences and a fallen tree. Back in town, she immediately went back to Carevin to tell him what she had seen.

"This is an interesting story you tell, Arien. We will do what we can to contain the worgens numbers in Duskwood. Already I have instructed Calor to make it his first priority." He smiled grimly. "We will rein in the worgen problem, have no worries. This evil your friend introduced to our woods will be contained, and I bear her no ill will." Arien nodded, and excused herself to go report what had happened to the Sentinels in Darnassus.

Another long ride, another boat trip, and Arien was standing once more in Darnassus, before the Commander Bladeweaver. She was tired, dusty, and still slightly damp from the sea-spray on her last boat trip. She told Bladeweaver all that had happened on the other continent, and then waited for further instructions.

Bladeweaver looked thoughtful for a moment. "So this is the fate of Velinde, is it? The high priestess will be disappointed to hear this, they were good friends before her disappearance. Still, the Scythe of Elune was surely granted as a boon from our goddess, and it is unsettling to me that it has fallen out of her servants' hands." She then looked rather sharply at Arien, whose eyebrows were slowly rising. "Another matter for another time, however. I owe you a great deal of thanks for all you have accomplished." Arien blinked in surprise. Was that a dismissal? Already the Commander was turning away to another Sentinel, listening to her reports from who-knows-where. Arien stood there in confusion for a moment, then, when they continued to ignore her, she shrugged to herself, turned and wandered back towards the path to the docks, and the boat. She had a sudden need to see Kal, and tell her about this strange adventure. Perhaps her friend would be able to explain some of the Sentinels' cold reactions. Whistling to Faithful once more, she swung onto his back and trotted to the portal leading to the coastal village.

Towards home.

Ding!!

Windstar is level 80, finally! Best part is: it was on a discovery in Storm peaks. The 4 quests I had to turn in at the time wound up being 117 xp short. :P

Now, normally I'm able to get a screenshot of the big moment. I have 4 other 80s, and I have pics of each one. However, this time, the Lag Monster decided to throw a monkey wrench in it. :(
I had been having odd lagspikes off and on all day, finally forcing me to close my Itunes (/sadface), plus Star was doing the Sons of Hodir questline, so it was switching her between normal birdy and great big, swimming-in-the-air, blue thing. The screenshot caught her in midchange, and the lag meant, well, see for yourselves :

/Sigh...
Oh well :(

So one leveling grind is over. Now to start on heroics so she can get Tad the heirloom bow and some shoulders.
She's gotten a start on gearing up, after getting invited to dps for a regular ToC run. She got new feral shoulders, belt, and cloak, and a resto belt. I'm getting very happy with her feral gear already, she's almost hit-capped, and has somewhere around 4700 ap and over 30% crit. Not too shabby considering that she just dinged a few hours ago.

I have been missing my paladin Arien again lately, so I might be posting a story or 2 about her in the near future. Also. . . Things haven't been going too well on my guild on Gilneas. The GM has been doing RL things, and my other friends there have been trying to occupy themselves with no raiding. Since I'm usually on vent with them, I've heard a lot, though I'm not certain about details. I'm worried about the guild in general, but honestly, it's also just giving me even less reasons to play there.

So, I have decided. Arien and Kalenedral are coming to Feathermoon. My others will stay on Gilneas for now, mostly because my character list will be full with those two and my priest Caderlly, but also since Kel/Tadrith and Jahira/Windstar would be almost copying each other, and seems pointless to have on the same server (Kel and Tad even have the same proffesions!). And I have invested too much time and emotion into each one of my characters to even think of deleting anyone. Besides, my friends are still there, though 2 of them have transfered one toon each to Hordeside. Which means I will actually have people to play with if I ever get to leveling my Belf hunter there.

As for the transfers, I will be waiting until around Christmastime, in the hope that extra holiday pay will make the $50 less painful. Poor Cad is going to have to wait even longer, but. . /shrug. So, sometime soon-ish, the Pig will have a couple new faces. >.> Star will still be there regularly though. My sister has even said she will most likely move her druid Alanon there about the same time, or soon after. So Arien will get to keep her boyfriend around. >.>

On that note, the two of us have been working a little story about those two which hopefully will be done soon. I just need to get my brain out of Star's head, and into Arien's. :P darn writer's block...

Need to sleep now. I should stop posting things this late, I tend to ramble way too much when I'm sleepy. :(

Pilgrim's Bounty Shenanigens

Massive Wall o' Text alert :D And some hunter/druid mischief. >.>
Enjoy!

Tadrith was sprawled on his chair, at the table in front of Stormwind, completely bored. Shaurria lay under the table, equally bored. Tad was actually starting to doze off, when a voice hissed in his ear, "Nice lil spread they got 'ere, 'ey mate?" Tad jumped slightly, opening one eye to look at the seat next to him. A dirty, rogue-ish looking man, almost certainly one of Old Town's less reputable citizens, was looking at him, while filching bits of turkey and chunks of sweet potato in napkins into his pockets. He grinned, showing at least three missing teeth. "Course, the Horde gots tables too. They get real mad when you try 'n snitch stuff from 'em, tho'." Tad simply stared at him, slowly raising one eyebrow. The vagabond finally shifted uncomfortably in his seat, then abrubtly got up and went to another table, where he began grabbing handfuls of stuffing. Tad sighed and looked down at Shaur, sprawled half-alseep under the table. An idea began to grow slowly in the back of his mind. Reaching down, he gently tugged her tail. "Heya Fuzzy, just exactly how bored are you?"

Not much later, Tad and Shaur were getting on the boat that travelled to the goblin town, Ratchet. As soon as the boat landed, they mounted their sabers and headed to Orgrimmar. They found the feasting tables outside the city, far enough that the guards at the entrance didn't even notice them. The locals at the tables, however gave them several dirty looks, and a few muttered what Tad assumed were threats. They weren't attacked, however, though Tad noticed a blood elf watching them, and especially Shaur, closely. They left after only a couple minutes, deciding to travel to Thunder Bluff.

It was a long ride, but their mounts were in good condition, and they set a good pace, steady and not too fast, and soon entered the green rolling mesas of Mulgore. Tad entertained Shaur with the story of travelling here and finding Keenath, and before too long, they saw the towering bluffs in the distance. As they neared it, they saw more Horde gathered, looking far more agressive and angry than at Orgrimmar. The two elves slowed their mounts, finally stopping and leaving them tethered a safe distance away. With Shaur in her catform, they approached the bluff leading to the lifts to the town. A shower of stones, arrows, and curses drove them back, however. They withdrew a short distance away, and decided on a plan. Shaur, still in kitty form, slunk into the grass, sneaking her way up the front of the slope, while Tad snuck around the back. A Tauren druid found Shaur, and chased her away, but the commotion let Tad get near enough to a table to grab a turkey drumstick and a couple potatoes. The two then withdrew again, and Tad shared his snack. Shaur, naturally, took most of the turkey.

As they sat there, the same blood elf from Ogrimmar came up to them. Tad tensed, expecting trouble, but suddenly he noticed her very round belly. The fact that Skan was sitting calmly, eyeing the black lion at the Sin'dorei's side, only helped Tad relax further. She stopped several steps away, and simply stood there until Shaur looked up and noticed her. With a curious "Mrrow", she went over to the blood elf, who knelt and appeared to be talking to her. Tad watched, his wariness beginning to fade and a smile starting on his face. After a few minutes, Shaur stood, rubbed her head against the elf's leg, and walked back to Tad, looking up at him. He nodded to her, and swung back up on Fog's back, giving the blood elf a respectful nod.

They travelled back to the Eastern Kingdoms, taking gryphons to the Plaguelands. From there they got on their sabers again and headed towards Tirisfal. They reached the Lordearon ruins, only to find more horde fighters outside. They halted a safe distance away, and Shaur hopped off her mount and shifted to catform again. She snuck through the shadowy bushes, until she got to the doorway, where she was spotted. She came high-tailing back, curses and a couple arrows following her. "Tad! They're really mad," she reported, unnecessarily, after shifting back to her elf form. She then looked back, and Tad saw a brief smile on her face, before she turned cat again. Following her gaze, he saw the exact same blood elf that had been at the other cities. Shaur went up to her, purring, and got an earrub. Then the two elves stood looking at each other, while each one's cat imitated their masters. The Sin'dorei tried speaking in Thalassian, but even that was too different for Tad to understand her. He shrugged at her, apologizing in Darnassian, which he knew she couldn't understand, though he hoped it would show his appreciation of her efforts. After a few more minutes of trying to converse with gestures and a few simple words, Tad suddenly realized Shaur had vanished. Almost as soon as he noticed, there was a commotion at the Undercity's gate. Shaur came tearing back down the road, eyes huge and with a large turkey drumstick in her mouth. Tad gaped at her for a second, then almost fell over laughing. He quickly mounted Fog, and followed the frightened but triumphant druid back towards the Plaguelands. Looking back, he saw the blood elf waving at them, and waved back.

Reaching the Bulwark, the three companions shared Shaur's prize, with Skan getting most of it this time. Shaur was too excited to eat much, and Tad was, as usual, more concerned for his friend than himself. They then mounted once more, and headed for Silvermoon City, by way of the Ghostlands. The trip was uneventful, and when they arrived, they found less hostile Horde members, and guards posted far enough away that they were hardly noticed. And, sure enough, the blood elf hunter was there again. She approached them as they sat at the furthest table, when suddenly there was a small commotion. Shaur stared wide-eyed at the patrolling guard running towards her, and sprang out of her chair, shifting to cat in mid-leap. She took off at a dead sprint. Tad and the blood elf looked at each other, and followed.

Tad hopped on Fog to check the road in the direction Shaur had taken, then backtracked down it when he didn't see her. He soon caught up, finding her not far from the feast tables, in her swift cheetah form. She suddenly shifted back into her usual smoky blue-gray cat form, and Tad noticed the blood elf walking up to her. She sat, and Shaur came up and lay down in front of her, with her head in the hunter's lap (what little lap she had). Tad walked up carefully, trying not to startle them, but they heard him coming easily. The elf gave him a small smile, as she stroked Shaur and rubbed her ears. The black lion sat nearby, looking decidedly jealous. Tad stood a few feet away, watching for a bit, then noticed the sun sitting on the horizon. "Fuzzy?" he called quietly. "Getting late now, we best head back before Star and Arvoss start worrying." Shaur sighed, raising her head to look at him. The blood elf seemed to know what he was saying, because she gently pushed Shaur up to her feet, gave her one last scratch, and began motioning for her to go. Shaur sighed again, but then trotted to Tad's side. The elves waved goodbye to each other, as the Kal'dorei mounted their sabers and started back the way they had come. They rode in companionable silence for most of the way, but finally Shaur spoke up, "That other elf? She was nice." "Yes, she was," Tad replied. Shaur sat on her saber quietly for several minutes, then she stirred, turned to Tad, and asked, "Tad, why was she so fat?"

Sorry it took so long to get this down. I now understand why my sis complains about writer's block so much. Also, cross-faction RP is fun.
Goodnight! /waves

Random Updates

First of all, work is still crazy.
Second, I'm still sleep deprived.
Third, time is going by too fast, can hardly believe it's almost Thanksgiving :(

In-game stuffs now:

Bearkat is now on Feathermoon, and finished his ravasaur quests. I'm probably not going to be playing him much until Windstar is 80 and has at least some gear, though.

Speaking of Star, she is now most of the way through 76. Almost time for Cold Weather Flying!

On Gilneas, my pally Arien is finally getting to do what I leveled her for in the first place: heal stuff! Last weekend, I got to bring her to a guild Mallygos attempt. We wiped on phase 3 every time, but it was still pretty fun and I got a little experience raid-healing on a pally. Then this weekend (friday and yesterday) the guild tried some ToC 10-man, which I brought Kel to, since she's my best geared toon. Wiped a lot, learned a lot, not a really bad run. Then finally we did a Naxx alt-run. Arien got to heal again, the only problem was there were 2 priests as well, that were better geared, so I pretty much just twiddled my thumbs through all but boss fights. She did get a couple ret upgrades, including her t7 shoulders, and my sister's DK Barraccus got a few tanking upgrades as well. No real upgrades for her healing set, but o well. :P

I have been thinking a little bit about transfering Arien (and my Nelf warrior Kalenedral, cause they are BFFs) to Feathermoon. Only problems are: not a lot of money to spare for the transfers, and my toon list on Feathermoon is almost full already. Also, since I made Arien to be basically a healer for the guild, I feel a little like it would be betraying my friends on Gilneas. Although, on the other hand, I have respec'ed Jahira to kitty/resto, and she is better geared than Arien, even if it is balance gear.

And on Durotan Hordeside, I just discovered today that my guild is disbanding. Not sure of specifics, but it seems like there is just a lot of different opinions between guildies, as far as raiding and such. It is all very friendly but sad, no one has any hard feelings, the leaders have simply decided that keeping it all together is not working very well anymore. One of the officers is making his own raiding guild, which he has invited anyone that wants to to join, but I'm afriad I won't be. Nothing against anyone, I just haven't been playing on that server much at all for a few months now, and it's not likely to change. I wish everyone the best, and will miss our random guildchat, but I don't see much point in trying to find another guild that is willing to have a member that is online only once a week, if that. And so:
/target Off The Team
/salute
/hugs

And on that note, time to go get Star another level or 2. /waves

Kelesaria and Co.

After my last post, I think I need a bit of cheering up. So what could possibly make me happier than telling about my very first (and still favorite) hunter, Kelesaria, and her menagerie. :D

First a short version her backstory, which isn't really much, but hey, I've only recently gotten into the whole RP thing.

Kel is the oldest of a unusually large Night Elven family. She was born around the time of the first World Tree, which puts her at close to 8,000 years old, I think. She has 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She loves her family a lot, but she has always been a bit of a loner, prefering the company of her animal companions over that of other people. She visits the family house in Ashenvale every once in a while, and her family knows they only have to ask her, if they need her help with anything. Other than the house, she has no real home, just camping wherever she happens to be, usually. Outside of her family, she has a few friends, but no one she's really close to (though she does have a little thing going on with a friend's druid >.>). Her pets are her closest friends, her bonds with them are closer than even most other hunters. She has had several over her long life, including a cat named Rhaj that was reincarnated (sort of) as a nightstalker, a STV panther, and eventually a white frostsaber.
Then she tamed her closest friend ever, the frostsaber pride watcher, Sabre. He is her baby, her heartmate, the pet that she has with her whenever she is having a hard/unhappy time. (And IMO, the most gorgeous cat skin in the entire game.)

Kel's second current permanant pet is her owl, Verdan. She found him in the Emerald Dragonshrine. Since coming to Northrend, she had been developing a close bond with the dragons, and finding an animal willing to join her at Ysera's shrine was pretty nice for her.

Plus he is just so danged pretty. :)

Next would be the only 'retired' pet I have ever managed to tame, the ghost hydra. Kel was still 79 when I found out Blizzard was going to make them untamable, so first I had to finish her level, then I had to hope like mad that I could get the Oracle daily to summon him, all before the next patch. For once, it worked out for me, and now whenever Kel needs to run a lowbie through an instance, Spirit is the one by her side.

He's not named in this pic cause I just couldn't think of a good one for him for several days after taming. :P Also, lots of people don't like the hissing noise these guys make, but I find it oddly soothing. Though I admit I can get tired of it evetually.

Next one is the other love of Kel's life, her wonderful, lovely spirit beast.

I really could make an entire 'rant' post about the search for this guy. Seriously, it took me 6 MONTHS to find Loque, alive and untamed. I had seen him several times, right after someone else had tamed him, and I think I saw him dead once. The whole time I would go look at Mania's site and read stories about people that got him an hour or less after starting their search. Or the stories about people finding him and having someone else come kill him under their noses. It was very, very depressing. Finally, at about 5:30 one morning, I found him by Skyreach Pillar. A Belf hunter was there already, though, and in the rush to start taming, I wound up tagging Loque, then tried to tame, only to have the Belf kill him. (I got a lovely little QQ note in the mail the next morning from his ally alt.) So I got a nice little achievement that I didn't want, and still no pet. I think it was maybe a week later, same time, same place, I found him again, completely alone this time. Nice, quiet, uneventful tame. I then went off to play with my new baby until my sister got up for work around 6 a.m., showed him off, then dropped into bed and passed out. Now, was the whole thing worth it?

Totally.
And yes, I named him Loq. Not very imaginative, I know, but after the long, long search, when he was finally tamed, I just couldn't think of calling him anything else.

And now her newest 'baby', her devilsaur Tyran. No real story or anything behind him, in fact I got him more for my guild, since, at the time, devilsaurs were suposed to be the highest DPS pets in the game. And I think I would agree, since my own performance improved a bit when he finally hit 80 and I took him on a raid. He is really fun too, and my PetEmote addon gives him an interesting personality. :) Plus, he has blue eyes. /melt

Not to mention, he looks frickin' scary when he roars. :P
(This is the only pic I have of him, need to fix that. :P And he's not enraged, the Gundrak sunset only makes him look like it.)

And now you have met the zoo. :D
Unfortunately, I haven't been playing Kel much lately, because of Feathermoon-leveling and some minor guild problems. But that's a rant for another post. :P

Lack of sleep fails...

So here's some random pics and rambling.

Windstar has been kinda lonely lately. Nothing serious, she's just been very busy, so she hasn't been going to the Pig as often. And a lot of the time, when she does go there, it's empty. And now Arvoss is back, so she's happy to see him, but Shaurria is hogging most of his attention. Which Star is completely fine with, but it makes her feel just a tiny bit left out. Hopefully this is just a little phase she's going through, and will be back to happy-kitty-mode soon. (P.S. rl depression may have something to do with it. maybe.)

Was bored yesterday, so I got on Gilneas for a bit, to do a heroic on my pally Arien. Gundrak was the daily, got to do that as lolret, got a new cloak for healing set, had lots of fun. Then me, guildies, and a PuG hunter went on a normal ToC farming spree. Did it 4 times, if I remember correctly. And I got to heal, finally! Pally healing is fun. Stressful sometimes (esp. if you're undergeared), but fun. Beacon of Light is hax. :D And she got a couple upgrades: new healing chest and pants (both mail :P) and a new belt and cloak for ret.

So now I have healed stuff on 3 healing classes (priest, pally, and druid), had fun each time, and I don't think I messed up too bad on any of them. Maybe I'm not a bad healer after all. Still don't think I'm ever gonna play a resto shammy though, simply because I don't want to. Taarren was sorta forced into it in vanilla WoW, for ZG raids that the guild I was in did then, and it wasn't much fun. Bad memories make it hard to go back to resto when enhancement is so much fun. Though it might've been mostly the guild's fault. *shrug*

So anyways, going on 3 hours sleep last night, then an 8 1/2 hour work shift, starting to get a headache, and I think(hope) I'm gonna pass out soon. Insomnia flipping stinks. :(

Goodnight.

Armory Links Up

Most of them anyways. Sleepy and got a nasty crick in my neck/shoulder :(
Going to try to sleep before stupid early work shift.
Ugh, I am NOT a morning person :(

One little thing, my friend (Frazle) is now pointing my blog out to people.
Is this a good thing? Not sure yet. (nervous)

Background Bits...

... because I'm bored and tired but not ready to sleep yet.

My Treng and my sister's Gwynifar have an interesting little story. They met almost by accident. Gwyn had gotten a reputation for being a prankster in her home of Silvermoon, so her parents sent her to Durotar, to see if the orcs could help her settle down some. Her mentor there sent her to track a boar, after sending a young orc to do the same thing a few minutes before. The two met on the trail, and immediately hit it off. They became such good friends that Treng asked her if she would like to be adopted into his Icefang Clan, a small Frostwolf subclan. Most of the pets they have gotten were Gwyn's ideas. Treng has learned to just go along with it. :) My sister and I created a guild for them on Moon Guard named Shano nor Balah, which means Blood and Honor in Thalassian. The orcish phrase (Treng's personal motto as well) in the Blood Elf language is another symbol of the bond these two have. Treng would literally do anything to protect his 'sister'.

My paladin Arien, on Gilneas, has two very close, important relationships. One is her best friend, my Night Elf warrior Kalenedral. The other is my sister's Nelf druid Alanon. Arien and Kal's friendship is unfortunately all in my head, and in stories I've written (WTB second account?). They met while Arien was in Stormwind, training to be a paladin. Kal had just learned that her older sister had been lost in a failed excursion into Northrend. Arien found her crying in the Cathedral grounds, and comforted her. They continued meeting whenever Arien could get away from her studies, and moved into a small place together when Arien 'graduated'. They are closer than sisters, and almost literally share everything. Later on, Arien met Kal's cousins, which are all my sister's and my elf toons. Alanon, the second oldest in the family, began noticing her, and she soon started noticing him back. He began helping her out with stuff (aka, instances and group quests), and then they began hanging out just because they liked each others' company. He comforted her through the rough time after the Wrathgate, and then the rest of the family began noticing the two's growing relationship. It took forever, as Arien was rather shy, and Alanon had been through a rough relationship with a human a few centuries before, and didn't want to rush with Arien, because he was afraid of messing something up. Long story short, they have finally confessed their feelings to each other, and are very happy now. More detailed posts on Arien's story will be posted in the future, I promise.

And now I am about to doze off on my keyboard, so I'm ending it here, for now. May have to post Arien stuff soon, now that I've started thinking about her again. Goodnight!

"Hey guys, Windstar is a tree"

My sister actually said that in the OOC channel our rp friends invited us to. The reaction was many variations of "The world is ending" and other stuff I'm too tired to remember now. It was funny though. Must remember to screenshot chatlogs more, argh! Or maybe find one of those addons/programs that saves them.

Moving on ... I tried druid healing for the First Time Ever today. Sis brought her 66 DK tank, with our friend on his 65 DK, with 2 PuGs, a ret pally and (guess what?) another DK. Last DK acted like kind of a noob, but since s/he had just told me, before we started, that they just reactivated their account, and was just now getting used to everything, I'm willing to forgive. Was a fun run, first in Ramparts, then since we did so well, we all went on with Blood Furnace. We only had one case of deaths, in BF, because everyone was melee and ran into a LOT of bombs that the technician mobs drop. Arvoss (sis) and me lived, I managed a battle rez on the pally, and the mobs were almost dead when the group asploded, so we managed to not wipe. Windstar made out like a bandit, with a lot of caster drops, so she might actually have a full healing set by the time she gets to Northrend. :P

I usually try to avoid healing, because I'm rather ADD, and don't have a lot of self-confidence, so I feel intimidated trying to keep a whole group alive. I also tend to panic slightly when ANYTHING goes wrong, because I expect everyone to blame me. This run was a great ego-boost, though. I had fun, we all lived through (almost) everything, and when I mentioned that I hoped I did ok, the pally said that I had. Druid healing is definately fun, and I'm looking forward even more to level 80 and Mass Heroic Farming (possibly even occasional raids, we'll have to see). I really really love my little druid right now. :D

O yea, she started out a little into level 60, and dinged 61 turning in the first BF quest. This is with no rested xp, since she ran out about a week ago and I havent stopped playing her long enough for more than 3 or 5 bars worth to build up. She is still leveling like a machine though, and still getting a good bit of RP time.

Must sleep now, hopefully will have another story or something ready to put up soon. /Waves

Kelesaria meets Sabre

A little bit I wrote about my hunter Kel (who I took my screen name from) taming her best friend. Enjoy!

The Night Elf knelt in the snow, peering through the frost-rimed branches of the tiny copse she hid behind. Kelesaria pondered the reason for her predicament even as she watched the great cats wandering and lying around the huge rock that shared their name. She had been stalking the area ever since she had enough seasons of experience to face one of the huge cats, had been planning this since the day she had seen another hunter with one by her side. The massive, graceful cat had seemed to Kel to be the perfect companion, and it's deadly beauty was breathtaking. Now that her nightstalker Rhaj was getting too old for the constant fighting and hunting that was her lifestyle, she was ready to bond to a new partner.

A movement to the side caught her eye, as the young male frostsaber she had been watching began trying once again to induce the cubs at their den into a game. She smiled at the sight of the big, powerful cat bouncing in the snow. The pure white mother of the cubs suddenly trotted over and swatted at the male, growling warningly, but with an almost resigned expression. Rebuffed once again, the pride watcher paced back to his favorite rock and lay down, a bored expression on his face. Kel smiled as she watched him, admiring the play of his muscles beneath the thick soft coat of lavender-striped fur, though actually he was little more than a yearling, still not as big and powerful as he would become, and obviously restless with the uneventful life he currently had. That youth and restlessness was the reason for her choice, as she hoped it might make the taming process a bit easier. She whispered under her breath the name she had chosen, "Sabre".

Apparently, it wasn't as quiet as she thought, however, as first one furry ear swiveled in her direction, then suddenly he turned his head and looked right at the tiny thicket she was crouching in. Kel froze for a moment, then on impulse she stood. No other frostsabers were close enough to notice, and for a moment the young male just stared at her. Kel quickly called up the cantrip that would start the bonding process between hunter and companion. As she cast it, the pride watcher suddenly stood and trotted towards her, growling softly. Kel stood firm, waiting for the cantrip to take effect. The 'saber leaped, knocking her to the ground, but then just stood over her, staring intently at her face, still growling. Kel stayed motionless as the spell began to work, creating a bond between them that would allow her to temporarily communicate with the huge cat, not so much with words as with intentions and feelings. The young 'saber slowly backed up a bit as his mind was flooded with promises of adventure and companionship, the very things his current life had been lacking. After a few minutes, as the spell faded, he stepped back some more to let Kel stand up. They looked at each other for a moment, then slowly, Sabre moved to Kel's side and rubbed his huge head under her hand, purring softly.
